I love standards. We have so many of them. So when investigating running a 2km wireless link for a mate (forthcoming post, believe me), I was rather confused as to what was on the back of the terminal adaptors, and what was on the antenna. Here's a handy guide to the 8 or so typically used connectors..
(It transpires that the back of the NetGear WAP54g wireless access point is an RP-TNC female, and the typical end of an antenna is an N-Type female. You can tell I'm breadcrumming this for later on, cant you?)
