Ian Rankin: The Naming of the Dead

Stunning book. One of the few in the last ten years I just couldnt put down. It centers around the G8 summit in Gleneagles, and how Rebus solves a triple murder and suicide.  It even has the notorious "Bush hits a policemen with his mountain bike" incident in there.

Myself, I remember taking the bike past Edinburgh a few days beforehand, on the way to the ferry in Newcastle. And in the opposite direction, were convoys of police vans from all over England, all going to Edinburgh to help police the G8 conference.
